'My Bohemian-themed baby shower': A-Bundlely Blessed Diaries #10

The morning started with a special prayer where my mom and mother-in-law wished me well with the last stretch of my pregnancy.

Blessed and Beautiful.

The perfect way to describe the baby shower my friends and family organised for me the past weekend.

An intimate affair with close girlfriends and family. It exceeded my wildest expectations!

The "team" behind my Bohemian-themed baby shower were phenomenal.

They paid special attention to the detail and décor and really captured the essence of my personality in it all – simplistic and relaxed.

I felt so special, the morning was magical, and boy were the four of us spoilt!

'God sure put some really special people in our lives'

The morning started with a special prayer where my mom and mother-in-law wished me well with the last stretch of my pregnancy.

This set the tone for the rest of the morning.

After the formalities were out the way, the celebrations started! The opening of the gifts were, of course, the highlight of my morning.

God sure put some really special people in our lives, who showered us with the most beautiful and thoughtful gifts, as well as prayers and words of encouragement.

Double set of triplets

I also had a scheduled check-up with my gynae. During our visit, he informed me that the neonatal intensive care unit has already been prepped and is on standby in case of an early arrival.

Thing is, we are currently two expectant mommies carrying triplets, and we're seeing the same gynae.

We're three weeks apart - I'm at 26 and the other mommy at 29 weeks.

There is a possibility that all six babies might be in the neonatal unit around the same time, so everyone needs to be on their A-game, and extra help has already been roped in.

As for my gynae, and how he's feeling, he said he probably wouldn't be getting much sleep during that time (haha)!

But he looks super excited and chuffed with himself as it's his first double set of triplets.

And for a gynae, this is something that maybe only happens once during their career, if they're lucky to experience it at all. On the other side of the spectrum, renovations at home have started to take shape.

The foundation will be laid this week, and it looks like the building process will be kicked into a higher gear soon.

Not that I'm stressing about the renovations, but if everything goes according to plan, we only have about eight weeks left before these three babies make their appearance!

'Before I start packing our hospital bags'

So, for now, we've started a priority list looking at the bigger items first.

Things like the cupboard space for the babies' clothes and buying car seats are next on the list.

Their clothing has been sorted and grouped into different sizes from premature to newborn, it just needs a good rinse, before I start packing our hospital bags.

Thanks to everyone who have contributed.

I also want to say thank you to everyone who has been following my triplet pregnancy journey thus far.

The comments, advice and tips are useful and practical, and I enjoy reading every one.

I'm jotting them down as I go along and I'm definitely planning on using it.

Until next time!
