This grandma’s overjoyed reaction to her daughter’s pregnancy reveal has got to be one of our favourites!

Here at Parent24 we absolutely love a good pregnancy and gender reveal. We’ve posted everything from a little boy’s priceless reaction to his mom’s pregnancy news to a gender reveal straight from the upside down for all our Stranger Things fans.

But whether you’re having your nearest bakery bake the family a gender reveal cake, opening a box full of pink balloons or shooting sparkly blue confetti into the sky, the best part of these reveals is everyone’s reaction to the news. And there’s nothing quite like a creative reveal and an adorably over-excited grandmother to make it that much sweeter.

So after using a word game called Mad Gab, in which one has to read out odd-looking sentences that only make sense when read aloud, Ashley Embry created her own cards for her mother, Wendy Hertzog. One read “Eye Mag Own Abbey Agroung Mow There”, which, when read aloud sounds like “I’m gonna be a grandmother”. The other said “Hash Lean May Sonar Praque Nut” i.e. “Ashley and Mason are Pregnant”.

After finally realising what she’d been saying, Wendy screamed, “Oh! Oh! Oh! I’m gonna be a grandma.”

With a few more high-pitched Ohs, she got up and hugged her daughter, followed by a few more shrieks and jumping up and down. Even their little dog seemed excited, wagging his tail from side to side.

“Oh, you’re going to be a little brother,” she amusingly told the puppy.

The camera cut and there’s a little snippet between mother and daughter that certainly made us chuckle the perfect end to our new favourite pregnancy reveal: “You didn’t tell me you did it.”
