The creepiest idea ever?
The creepiest idea ever?
The Anne Show

What do you do when your baby's teeth start to fall out?

Do you throw the teeth on the roof like the African grandmothers or do you arrange a visit from the tooth fairy?

If these traditional ways of handling this right of passage are too ordinary for you, here's a very different, and rather alarming, idea.

In a video posted on The Anna Show's Facebook page host Anna demonstrates in a few detailed steps what to do to create a memorable baby teeth necklace for your child - or, if you prefer, for yourself.

Viewers were pretty horrified, expressing their feelings in the comments of the post.

"The creepiest idea ever. it's too gross I don't know why would someone make a necklace out of human teeth!" Shahed wrote.

"My boyfriend sat there horrified the entire time "it's a baking show about baby teeth." Little did he know you were about to make a tooth necklace out of a nightmare scene" wrote Ellen-Marie.

"Live laugh love," wrote Brian, "in our next episode we're going to skin the neighbor's noisy children to make fun DIY Halloween costumes for our children!"

Is this something you would consider?

We've conveniently listed all the steps here, and you can watch the video (warning, it's kinda gross) here: What to do with your children's baby teeth

Step 1: Cleaning and disinfection

Pop them into a baking tin. Soak the teeth with lemon juice while in the baking tin to disinfect the teeth. Brushing the teeth with a toothbrush will remove the old enamel in the tooth and leave a beautiful bright white colour underneath the tooth.

Then scrub away the dirtier ones because human teeth end up ageing poorly, so make sure that every one of them is clean.

Step 2: Preparing to bake

Spread the teeth so that they are completely dry. Put on some oil so that none of the teeth is touching the other and they don't get stuck in the baking pan.

Then you can wrap the baking pan with foil with the teeth inside. Create little holes in the foil.

Step 3: Baking instructions

Put the baking pan with the teeth inside the oven. Make sure the oven is 400 Degrees Fahrenheit or 200 Degrees Celsius.

Do not do more than that because you might end up burning the teeth.

Step 4: Prepare to make a piece of jewellery

Take a piece of cloth you like. Cover it with glue. Place each tooth on top of the glue, attaching both the cloth and the teeth.

You can start with bigger ones and put them one by one to create a beautiful first line, then put the smaller ones until you finish.

Let it dry for some time, and then you can gift your child with this unique piece of jewellery.
