After posting a photo on our Facebook page that featured a list of bedtime excuses like 'search for stuffed bunny', 'urgent need to poop' and 'act of sibling injustice', we asked parents like you to share the excuses their kids have come up with.

Here are our top 5 favourites

"He complains he's getting shorter and needs to eat supper again. This kid of mine has 4 suppers a night!" - Angelica

"Mummy, there's only 5 minutes left before the TV programme ends! Mummy, I can't sleep with lights off!" - Joy

"The other stuffed bunny... Then Daddy must take you to go and look at all your bunnies just so you can choose the 'right one'." - Chantal

"Tummy sore, teeth sore, I miss my granny, I miss my grandpa, I miss Ouma and Oupa, I want to go to Aunty Eleanor. All the time!" - Justine

"It happens every night. My eldest will all of a sudden tell me about her day and what she wants to wear for the next day." Elize
