Teen instruction video solves astounding mystery
Dad’s instruction video for teens will change their lives forever.
Slightly-frustrated dad Will Reid has opted for social media as the best way of reaching his teen children. As he says, he has repeated certain lessons countless times without any evident fruit. He has chosen to create a series of instructional videos especially for teens to help them come to terms with some of the biggest challenges they’ll face in life. Like changing toilet rolls.

Yes, that’s right. How many parents know how it feels to have a seat in the only private room in the house, only to be confronted with no loo paper and a lonely cardboard tube staring back at you?

Now, we have had quite a few discussions about toilet etiquette: Does the roll hang over or under? Is it rude to leave a roll with three useless squares on it hanging up?

Let’s hope Will extends this wonderful series to put an end to all those lavatorial disagreements.

Take a look at his short video, Teenage Toilet Roll Changing (via Will Reid/YouTube), it’s pretty funny:

Some teens are easy to enlist in the household chores, especially when there’s something in it for them. Access to the Wi-Fi password, for example. Others need more encouragement. Although it can feel mundane and frustrating, teaching your child how to be more capable and independent (not to mention clean) is a huge step towards helping your child function as an adult.

That said, the debate will rage on forever: Should the loo paper hang over or under?
