Saying No
Help for parents who struggle to set boundaries.
Saying No by Asha Phillips (Faber & Faber)

Where can I get it?

We like
This is a thoughtful book written by a child psychologist, but aimed squarely at parents. Unlike some parenting books which offer glib solutions in bite-sized pieces, this gives a lot of background and discussion on how and why saying no is important at different stages. Relevant case histories remind us as parents that we’re not the first to struggle with placing reasonable boundaries in a kind, thoughtful way.

We don’t like
It’s not a quick read, you’ll have to put aside a week or two to work through it and think about what it is saying.
