Ntiyiso Mukhari, a grade eight learner at Curro school, Northern Academy in Polokwanehas just become a published author.

The 14-year-old spent six months writing her Christian novel, Life’s Journey. The novel tells the tale of a young girl struggling with a multitude of challenges, including child abuse and abduction, while gradually finding her path to God.

Ntiyiso says her motivation for writing the book came from a desire to break her own personal boundaries and to inspire her peers, she's also passionate about encouraging parents to be more supportive of their children’s dreams.

The teen says completing the book might not have been possible without the guidance of her parents, and credits them with keeping her on track and motivating her not to give up.

"Ntiyiso Mukhari is an inspiration not just to her fellow learners, but also to members of the greater Polokwane community and the youth of our country. We are immensely proud of her and her achievement, and look forward to what is still to come from this author’s pen," commented Curro Holdings CEO, Andries Greyling.
