2019 marked the 20th anniversary of The Gruffalo - if you don't know what that is, where have you been for the last 20 years? Julia Donaldson has authored a bookshelf full of memorable kids stories, and most parents will be familiar with some of her other classics like Monkey Puzzle and Room on the Broom.
Other popular bed time storybooks include Guess How Much I Love You? (which my husband and I can recite verbatim), On The Night You Were Born, Where The Wild Things Are, and don't forget just about anything by Enid Blyton and Beatrix Potter.
