Life advice for kids
Real parents share the important life advice every child should know.
Every parent wants the very best for their child. Whether it's to get a good education or be successful in business, all parents want their children to be happy and well adjusted. Parents love to impart wisdom to their children and of course they hope that it sticks!

We took to Facebook and Twitter to ask what the most important advice is that they'll ever give their kids. These were the pearls of wisdom that they had to share.

Twitter wisdom

To quote Steinbeck: "If it is right, it happens - The main thing is not to hurry. Nothing good gets away." @alambchop

I tell my kids, "If you have to change who you are for someone to like you/be your friend, they're not really your friend." @MeeAParkins

It can be hard to be yourself. But nothing feels better in the end. @tracyengelb

When you look in the mirror, make sure that the person who looks back at you, is someone that you can be proud of. @Ulpha_Edries
