Britain's TWEEN parents
A couple from Britain, aged 12 and 13 just welcomed their first child.

Their names cannot be mentioned for legal reasons. A girl and her boyfriend conceived the baby when she was just 11-years-old; now 12, she gave birth last weekend to a healthy baby girl.

Do you still remember the responsibility you had when you were 11/12-years-old? All you had to do (maybe!) was clean your room. You had to tidy your bed and wash yourself. Everything else was done for you. That's the same for most 11-year-old children.

Back to the responsibilities: everything else was done for you, you were fed, your clothes were washed for you, you were driven around to wherever you wanted to be and you paid for absolutely nothing because you were still a child. You had some responsibilities and most of them came from school; assignments, tasks, homework and the one we cannot leave out- tear-off slips, I always struggled to remember that one.

But now, in Britain, these two children just had a baby together, at the young ages of 12 and 13. It's almost inconceivable they even sexually active at that young age. When you’re that age and you have a boyfriend you’re still supposed to be shy about it, you must even still be shy to hold each other’s hands and you still have to go red when your boyfriend attempts to kiss you, ON YOUR CHEEK!

When I hear of such stories where young girls are pregnant or giving birth, most of the time it’s an accident or a crime that was committed by some sick person.

The young mother gave birth to a healthy baby girl who weighs in at 3.1 kilograms, which is close to the average mass for a newborn baby girl in the UK. The girl’s mother is now also the youngest grandmother in Britain, who was also a teenage mother herself.

According to Mail Online, the two young parents from North London, say they have been in a relationship for a year, they met during Christmas time in 2012 when she was only ten and he was 12.

The girl left school only a month ago and her school mates are in shock; they said that she didn’t ‘look pregnant’.

The parents of the new young parents are said to stand right behind them, they said that the couple are excited about the baby and that they are planning to get married in the future.

This is definitely something to be shocked about, but it's the kind of thing that’s happening now, children are having children and it is almost being seen as something normal.

When I was an 11-year-old, I was done playing with baby dolls but seeing one was still very cute and cuddly to hold- the thought of having my own life size baby that I would have given birth to however, didn’t cross my mind.

What are your 12-year-old sons and daughters doing at the moment?
