If you're a good parent you most certainly have some rules in place for your teenager. Things like a set curfew, no tolerance of drugs, needing to study and do homework.

There are also other stipulations some parents enforce, such as which friends they can hang out with, which movies they can watch and what clothes they can wear.
If there are serious consequences to breaking these rules, there is a very good chance your teen will lie to you to stay out of trouble. In fact, 96% of teens lie to their parents, particularly around topics such as drinking, drug use and sex.  Do you really know what your child is doing in the afternoons while you are at work?
