Expecting a B in Biology? An F in French? You can get easy access to your teen's matric results via a number of different options:

School Schools will post results early. (Call first to make sure they’re there). This is the most fun as classmates can gather round and commiserate or celebrate together.

Newspapers The results will be published in all major national newspapers as always.

SMS service The SABC is offering an SMS service: To get results directly on their phones, students are requested to send the word RESULTS followed by their ID number to 35965 at a cost of R3 per SMS.

Students can also use the SABC's mobile news service News Break by calling 082 152, selecting option 6, and following the instructions to punch in their exam and ID numbers. For more info, go the Matric Results 2009 Facebook group. All calls charged at VAS rates.

Online The Department of Basic Education's website has all the results - you will need your exam number. The various provinces may also carry results, but the websites are not all up and running. Bear in mind that website traffic will be high, so expect delayed response times.
