"Animal Farm teaches kids to love animals" and other funnies

Everyone can make a mistake – thank goodness everything we've ever said hasn't been recorded, tweeted and reported on.

But we have to admit the Twitter response to Shilpa Shetty telling the Times of India that "a book like Animal Farm can teach the little ones to love and care for animals," is rather hilarious.

Shetty, a much-loved actress, also said she thought it was a good idea that the Harry Potter books and Lord of the Rings will become required reading in Indian schools – and we agree. The poor thing later said the Orwell slip was a misunderstanding. No judgies!
