While polls suggest that the EFF's growth depends on making inroads in KwaZulu-Natal, party leader Julius Malema admits that penetrating the support base there is proving to be difficult.
"KZN is a virgin area for us; we are a new organisation, and there have always been two traditional parties in KZN, the ANC and the IFP. To break that ground and be introduced as a new baby is not going to be easy," Malema said.
But he said the party was working hard to make inroads there.
