The former mayor of Tshwane, Murunwa Makwarela, failed to have his fraud case struck from the court roll.
Makwarela appeared in the Pretoria Commercial Crimes Court on Tuesday in a matter related to his insolvency status.
The prosecutor, advocate Willem van Zyl, asked the court for a postponement so the case could be set down for trial.
