Wednesday's weather: Morning fog and some drizzle expected in some regions

The South African Weather Service predicts morning fog, with drizzle along the escarpment of some areas, otherwise it will be fine and warm in other parts of the country.

Fire danger warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Tsantsabane and Siyathemba Local Municipalities in the Northern Cape.

Fine and warm conditions are expected in Gauteng.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.

Mpumalanga and Limpopo will have morning drizzle and fog patches along the escapement, where it will be cloudy, otherwise partly cloudy and warm.

Hot to very hot temperatures are forecast for the Lowveld.

Fine and warm to hot temperatures are expected in the North West and the Free State.

The Northern Cape will be partly cloudy and cool, with morning fog patches along the coast.

It will be fine and cool to warm, but hot conditions are forecast in the north-east.

The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate southerly to south-easterly, reaching fresh at times in the afternoon.

Partly cloudy and cool temperatures are expected in the Western Cape, otherwise it will be fine and warm in the central interior.

The wind will be light and variable along the south-west coast, otherwise it will be light to moderate westerly to south-westerly.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be fine and warm, with morning and evening fog south of the escarpment.

The wind along the coast will be a light south-westerly.

Fine and warm conditions are expected for the eastern half of the province, with morning and evening fog south of the escarpment.

The wind along the coast will be a light southerly to south-westerly.

KwaZulu-Natal will have morning fog patches over the interior, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and warm.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly.
