Regardless of whether you're a complete baby novice or just welcomed your second or third little bundle, the one thing we all know is that once the baby has landed, sleep becomes a scarce and precious commodity.
A 2013 UK study found that by the time their baby turns 1, parents to newborns will have lost more than 40 days of sleep.

So we can only imagine the tears of joy shed by parents to newborns when mom Laura Gerson dropped her game-changing sleeping hack via a private Facebook group, revealing that her baby girl Amelia had been sleeping through the night by 3 months.
Her secret? Following the newborn equivalent of the law of supply and demand, the creative mom simply loaded the crib with dummies.
And voila!

"We've got a video monitor and was watching her one night trying to find her dummy... 99% of the time she just wanted her dummy to soothe her back to sleep," Laura told Parent24.
The inventive mom admits it took a few tries to get the amount just right but eventually she cracked the code.
"She isn't a total dummy fiend," jokes Laura, "having more in there makes it easy for her to find one, and hold one (or two)."
"Happy baby, happy mummy!"
