We once again have the pandemic to thank for an earlier than scheduled winter school break.
This was confirmed by the president during his most recent address to the nation, announcing that the country would move into Adjusted Level 4 lockdown.

Among other measures aimed at tackling the third wave of Covid-19 infections, the president said that the July holidays would begin on 30 June, or at the very latest 2 July instead of 12 July.
According to updates made to the public school calendar since the president's address, schools are set to reopen on Monday, 19 July.
Below we've included school term dates as well as all holidays in a handy print out.
Remember, these are the term dates for state schools because private schools set their own term dates and differ widely.

The school holidays 2021 at a glance:
February 2021:
Schools open Monday 15 February 2021. Teachers started on Monday 1 February.
April/May 2021 holiday:
Schools close Friday 23 April and reopen Monday 3 May.
July 2021 holiday:
Schools close Friday 9 July and reopen Monday 26 July.
October 2021 holiday:
Schools close Friday 1 October and reopen Monday 11 October.
December 2021 holiday:
Schools close on Wednesday 15 December.
