The Easter rugby festivals that will be taking place across the country signal the end of the friendly stage of the school rugby season before traditional derbies take over next week.

Critically, there has been a targeted reduction in matches played by teams this year as lessons learnt from last year, when five matches in 10 days proved to be unsustainable for players.
