As yet another captivating Premier League season approaches its end, we highlight the 10 African stars in the division who have been getting paid the most money, but South Africa's Lyle Foster misses out.

The South African became a part of the English top flight's fraternity when Burnley got promoted from the EFL Championship at the end of last season.
While his team was able to reach the upper echelon of English football, though, his pay packet among Africans in the league does not equate to that of some of the highest earners from the world's second largest continent.
According to Capology, the Johannesburg native only takes home £32 000 (R763 900) a week, an amount that pales in comparison to Mohamed Salah's £350 000 (R8.3 million) wage. The Egyptian is not only among the highest earners in the entire league and the best-paid African in the division, but he is also said to be the highest-paid player in Liverpool history.
The 31-year-old is approaching the final 12 months of his latest three-year deal, but the two-time CAF Men's Player of the Year could be set for yet another big pay day as rumours continue to swirl about his likely departure to the oil-rich kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
For the remaining six games of the league season, however, he still occupies top spot of this list, with the next best-paid African star being Arsenal's Thomas Partey. The Ghanaian has been a lynchpin for Mikel Arteta's side since arriving at the Emirates Stadium from Atletico Madrid. This season however, the holding midfielder has been plagued by injuries, missing a large part of the Gunners' latest title charge as a result.
Here are the best-paid Africans plying their trade in the Premier League this season, as per Capology:
Like Salah, Partey is approaching the final year of his current deal, and is believed to be earning £200 000 (R4.7 million) in weekly wages. He is one of the nine west Africans that form part of this top 10, and finishing off the podium positions is another midfielder in the form of Abdoulaye Doucoure.
The box-to-box Malian has spent the past eight years plying his trade in England, first at Vicarage Road with Watford and now with Everton. The 31-year-old inked an extension in November 2023, and is said to take home £130 000 (R3.1 million) every week.
With the French-born midfielder having opted against representing his country at the latest Africa Cup of Nations, his national team were knocked out of that tournament by hosts Ivory Coast. In that Elephants squad was Nottingham Forest's Ibrahim Sangare.
Despite only just arriving in England from PSV Eindhoven this season, Sangare did not hesitate to honour his national team call-up and it paid dividends as he helped his nation win their third continental triumph. While he did not start any matches from their quarter-final victory over Mali onwards, the Abidjan native's temporary exit from the City Ground added an illustrious medal to his trophy cabinet.

Sangare is the highest-paid African at a club that has six Africans in the squad, and he is said to earn a weekly income of £75 000 (R1.7 million).
