Q Hi, We have a son and we mainly speak Afrikaans at home. We have a lot of English and Afrikaans speaking friends with children. I was brought up in Afrikaans but my best friends were English speaking, I attended a bilingual pre-primary, bilingual high school and did my tertiary education in English as well. What I need to find out is when we send our son to pre-school next year would it be more advantageous to send him to a Afrikaans pre-school than English only pre-school considering that he will be going to an Afrikaans pre-primary?
