When they found out they were pregnant with their second child via IVF they were over the moon – they’d always wanted to be a family of four.

But after Daphna and Alexander Cardinale welcomed their new baby the questions started to stream in: was this child really theirs?

The little girl didn’t look like either of them and her complexion was far darker than their older child’s. The couple decided to have DNA tests done and the results confirmed their fears: the child they were raising wasn’t related to them.
